Rabat - The ministry delegate in charge of the environment was given the "Green Apple Award 2014", in the category of "Gold Winners Africa: environmental best practice", awarded by international NGO "The Green Organization".
A statement by the ministry said that the prize rewards the best practices worldwide in terms of environment protection.
It was given for the project of solar lighting in the Fezna commune under the program "adaptation to climate change: towards resilient oases", it added.
The prize will enable the ministry to use the "Green Apple Awards Winner 2014" logo and represent Morocco in the European Business Awards for the Environment (EBAE).
