Egypt: FM represents HM the King in Africa Investment Forum 2019
Cairo - Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates Nasser Bourita represented HM King Mohammed VI at the 4th Africa Investment Forum held in the new administrative capital of Egypt (North-East of Cairo).The Forum, which is attended by ministers, government officials, experts, economic actors, investors and civil society representatives from many African countries and worldwide, will examine ways to establish intra-African cooperation between governments and the public and private sectors in several vital areas in the continent.
Organized by the Egyptian Ministry of Investment under the theme "Investment in Africa", this two-day forum aims to initiate a regional and international dialogue on investment development in strategic sectors and infrastructure in Africa, and to give momentum to intra-African trade, as well as to further regional complementarity between the private and public sectors and the governments to set up a modern African economy based on innovation.
Speaking at the opening of the forum, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Al-Sissi stressed that the development in Africa is the responsibility of governments and requires the pooling of efforts and partnership with the private sector to promote investments and benefit from the continent's resources
